The summer holidays of 2023 we spent in Athens, Kalamata and Nafplio. In Kalamata I had already become acquainted with the old railway network of the Peloponnese. Some old locomotives were parked at the former station. Nice to see, but located in a landscaped park, so not really abandoned and interesting for an urban explorer.
Hotel Đuro Salaj is a former workers’ resort on the Makarska Riviera. In particular, miners from the mines in Đurđevik, Banovići, Kreka, Breza and Miljevina could spend their holidays here.
One of the greatest urbex locations I’ve been and for me one of the hottest explorations ever: the temperature was 38 degrees and I was melting like aluminium!
The abandoned Hotel Goričina II in Kupari stands as a haunting relic of the past, frozen in time amidst the picturesque landscape. This once-luxurious resort, located on the Adriatic coast, was a jewel of Yugoslavian tourism before falling victim to the ravages of war.
